전라북도외국어자원봉사회, 전주상공회의소와 업무협약(MOU)

전라북도외국어자원봉사회(회장 라춘균)는 지난 1일 전주상공회의소에서 ‘상공인 외국어 자원봉사 서비스 지원'을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 전북자치도 중소기업 및 상공인을 위한 외국어 자원 봉사 서비스를 통해 중소기업의 해외 경쟁력을 높이고, 지역 내 국제교류 행사의 성공적인 추진, 지역 기업의 경쟁력 강화를 위한 목적으로 이뤄졌다.

오는 10월 전주에서 개최되는 '2024 세계한인비즈니스대회'에 재외동포 경제인을 비롯한 국내외 기업인들과 지역 기업들의 경제교류 기반을 확대 하는 등 침체된 전북경제 활성화에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.

전라북도외국어자원봉사회는 2000년에 전주시번역자원봉사대로 출발하여 2012년 사단법인으로 변경등록하여 오늘에 이르고 있다.

다양한 언어 통역봉사(영어, 일어, 중국어, 불어, 독일어, 동남어 등) 단체로 풍부한 통역봉사회원(100명 이상 전문위원)으로 구성돼 있으며, 그동안 세계서예전북비엔날레, 전북 아태마스터스대회, 세계스카우트잼버리대회 등 전북특별자치도의 다양한 행사에 외국인 통번역 서비스를 제공해왔다.

라춘균회장은 “저희 외자봉 전문 봉사자의 역량을 전세계 한인 상공인들에게 보여줄 수 있게 돼 기쁘다”고 밝혔으며,“한상대회에 조금이나마 보탬이 되는 역할을 할 수 있도록 준비하겠다”고 말했다.

전주상공회의소 김정태 회장은 “지역 내 기업들이 해외시장 개척 및 수출입 업무와 우리지역 기업들의 경영에 실질적으로 큰 도움이 될 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Jeollabuk-do Foreign Language Volunteer Association (Chairman Ra Chun-kyun) signed a business agreement at the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the 1st to support foreign language volunteer services for businessmen.

The agreement aims to enhance the overseas competitiveness of SMEs through foreign language volunteer services for small and medium-sized enterprises and businessmen in Jeollabuk-do, to successfully promote international exchange events in the region, and to strengthen the competitiveness of local companies.

It is expected to greatly help revitalize the sluggish Jeonbuk economy by expanding the foundation for economic exchanges between domestic and foreign businessmen and local companies, including overseas Korean businessmen, at the "2024 World Korean Business Conference" in Jeonju in October.

Jeollabuk-do Foreign Language Volunteer Association started as Jeonju City Translation Volunteer Corps in 2000 and changed and registered as a corporation in 2012 and has reached today.

It consists of a variety of language interpretation volunteers (English, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, Southeast, etc.) and consists of a rich interpreter club (more than 100 professional members). It has provided foreign interpretation and translation services to various events in Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province, including the World Calligraphy Jeonbuk Biennale, Jeonbuk Asia-Pacific Masters, and World Scout Jamboree.

Chairman Ra Chun-kyun said, "We are happy to show the capabilities of our foreign volunteers to Korean businessmen around the world," and added, "We will prepare to play a role that helps the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry a little bit.“

"We hope that companies in the region will be of great help to the development and import and export of overseas markets and the management of Korean companies," said Kim Jung-tae, chairman of the Jeonju Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
